I received my B.Sc. in Physics in 1993, my M.Sc. in Materials Physics in 2000 and my Ph.D. in 2004 from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. I was elected Assistant Professor at the Physics Department in 2009, Associate Professor in 2016 and Full Professor in 2021.
Personal Data: Born in Veroia, Greek Citizenship, Married with Lamprini Athanassopoulou and has two children, named Nadia and Paul.
